Police continue to appeal for assistance to help locate missing Coorparoo man, Victor Nyeste who has been missing since September 26. Police from Metropolitan South Region with the assistance of detectives from the State Crime Operations Command Missing Persons Unit have been conducting the investigation and are concerned for the welfare of Mr Nyeste. “From speaking with his family, this is certainly out of character for him. They are understandably very concerned and like us, are appealing for the public’s assistance to help locate him,” Detective Senior Sergeant Damien Powell from the Missing Persons Unit said. Mr Nyeste, 20 was last seen by his flatmate on the morning of September 26 at his Coorparoo address. It is believed he was intending to see a movie with a friend. Mr Nyeste has not been seen since. Investigations reveal that Mr Nyeste may have been traveling by train that afternoon in the vicinity of the Brisbane CBD and Gailes railway station. “From our enquiries it does not appear there has been any phone or bank activity since September 26,” Detective Senior Sergeant Powell said. Mr Nyeste is described as being of Caucasian appearance, 183cm tall, slim build with dark brown hair and green eyes.
